--- well, all I can say is that it sure looks better on her than Joan Rivers. :) --- Question: (reply in the comments) --- What do you think is worse (in Hollywood), being criticized because you look old, or being criticized because you have gone under the knife a few times.... --- I'm curious what you guys think.
I don't think looking old is a criticism. We all get old (if we're lucky.)The need to cut open your body because you're insecure about your appearance is something I'm more critical of.
It's a sad commentary that so many feel the need to appear "perfect." There is so much pressure, I'm not sure if I'd be able to say, "I'm aging but I will not get plastic surgery."
I'd rather be old than fake, but from their perspective, I'm not sure which is worse, being old or being fake. As Steve said, the criticism itself is the worst part.
If you're criticized for being old, that says more about the person criticizing you than it does you yourself. After all, EVERYONE gets old.
If you're being criticized for having work done, that's on you, that's something that you decided to do, and makes you seem a bit vain (maybe a LOT vain).
SO for me, I'd rather be called old than vain. Old isn't my choice, vain is.
