He came from a very influential family on both sides,
his mother was a direct descendant of (French) Kings.

Francois' parents were zealous Catholics

He had
other ideas, it was an explosive bloody period of History

He became one of the foremost advocates of the Protestant Reformation and was a close friend of
John Calvin. He was also an advisor at times to
Queen Elizabeth I of England and
Catherine de Medici.---
Alienated by his parents and native country, his life often threatened,
he fled and spent his last days in Basel, Switzerland.

The Plague of 1582 took his wife, mother to his 7 children
---
He died at Basel, Switzerland February 12th, 1590
---
He is today one of the most revered and respected Authors of the Reformation, having published numerous works of great fame, notably
