My greatest childhood fear was the boogeyman. He was going to get me. He was always there, waiting. He was under my bed and in my closet. While I never could conjure up an image of his face (or body) I knew he posessed fangs and very sharp teeth. I used to draw the sheets up over my face until I broke out in a sweat. I have always been afraid of dark places, especially closets and cellars.
